Filipinler’de gerçekleştirilen büyük ölçekli bir belediye atık su arıtma projesinde, RO öncesinde ön arıtma olarak bir UF sistemi kullanıldı. Toplam 68.000 m³/gün su üretim kapasitesine sahip olarak tasarlanan UF sistemi, arıtılmış suyun RO besleme suyu gereksinimlerini karşılamasına yardımcı oldu.
Romanya’da kuyu suyunu arıtmak için konteyner tipi bir UF + RO sistemi kurulmuş ve toplam 23 m³/h kapasiteyle istikrarlı bir içme suyu kalitesi sağlanmıştır.
